I’m just your average girl next door striving to live a more sustainable, greener lifestyle. I wouldn’t call myself a complete newbie to the green way of living, but I think there’s always room for improvement. I pretty much grew up in an environment that required thinking outside the box and the mind set  of waste not, want not. I learned a lot from watching both my parents use what they had on hand and stretching things as far as possible.

Right now my husband and I live on the fringes of a pretty big city (by southwest standards anyways) with our beautiful baby girl and two loveable chocolate lab furbabies.

Other interests of note (to me anyways), include decorating (green and frugally of course) and organizing (green and frugally of course) and scrapbooking, and sewing and-oh, just about any kind of crafting I’ll give a go at least once! I love trying out new recipes and learning all kinds of things that are new to me but obviously my grandmother could have done in her sleep. As they say, what’s old is new again. Sometimes I find it hard that we as a society on the whole have let some of these skills go. Learning “homemaker” skills has been one of the most fun and rewarding things I have done in my life. I feel like I have finally found me.
